at thousands of surf breaks around the world, if you paddle out to the line up (where everyone semi-rests on their surfboard waiting for their turn to ride a wave) you will see a ratio of something like 33 men and maybe one girl or two. MAYBE. If that.

Plus there’s the numerous benefits of being in a large body of water. Being exposed to negative ions has infinite therapeutic results from stress reduction to muscle relaxing. It even cures skin problems and aches or pains. Everyone who has ever spent a day at the beach simply feels good without having to pinpoint why exactly.

When you get out there in the sea, 90% or more of the time, you are the only girl, surrounded by attractive, physically fit men who OBVIOUSLY know how to enjoy life and have spare time (two important traits in a mate.) Many of them are at least somewhat financially free as well, which allows them this leisure time.

If you think, like I used to before I picked up a surfboard, that surfers are slacker punks, guess again. Just go out there even ONCE with a surfboard and I swear on my dearly departed nan that you will form a completely different opinion of who surfers are and what it takes to catch a wave. You will not find more competent, adept, skillful hunters on the planet.

Someone who can catch and ride a wave is successful at whatever they put their focus upon. Hint – excellent providers!

Next, don’t worry if you suck at surfing. This could actually work in your favor as you will have men left and right offering to give you pointers as a perfect icebreaker. Now you have found someone considerate and helpful as well. Easier to weed out than online dating.

Finally, one time I was surfing Costa Rica and met a seasoned surfer, who, after we started talking, offered me a job in helping him ghost write a book. This gave birth to “The Surf Diet” by Chris Mo’e.

There are only 3 institutes for anti-aging in the world and only one in America.

As such, in 2008, we presented The Buck Institute of Anti-Aging with our guideposts because we wanted to share our findings with them for two reasons. Use coffee in your
bath

The rest of us need to be aware that the main ingredient in those skin firming creams is caffeine.

Being the experimenters we are, we have decided to cut through everything else in those creams, especially the ingredients that we cannot pronounce, and we have been using coffee in our baths, with great results.

There are several methods.
Do what seems right for you.

You can make an extra large pot of coffee and when it cools down enough to lukewarm, you may pour it over your body in the “areas” that need firming, and massage it in.

The writer for the Guardian stated that this means we do miss things when we are blinking, at least in the sense that the brain doesn’t record any information for this time.

If you add up these three tenets, it is possible that if a Critical Mass of People in a moment of Synchronicity,
BLINK,
the energetic wave caused by that momentous synchronous act could open a portal to another dimension.

During the blink, our human collective consciousness may not even realize what happened, as stated in the paragraph above. Maybe this is why we haven’t come up with any logical explanations for what happened to previous entire civilizations. Maybe we were that previous civilization and we “blinked ourselves” elsewhere.

Elevate your heart

Have you ever watched time pass by like sands slipping through an hourglass?

That is actually similar to how the mind senses time passing.

The pineal gland in the brain senses time passing, the same way sands slip through an hourglass. It has to do with light by sensing the difference between light and darkness. The transition and repetition of light turning dark and back to light again is recognized as time passing as sensed by your pineal gland.

What happens when you want more time?
You flip the hourglass over.

Similarly, if you wish to turn back your biological clock, you simply have to “flip your body over,” or at least, the pineal gland, which senses the time passing (transition from light to dark.)

Anyway, turning back one’s biological clock or

It is a lot simpler than one may think.
All one has to do is somehow get your heart
more elevated than your head.

Whenever your heart is “higher” than your head, you have in essence, flipped your pineal gland – your internal hourglass, over.

Some of us, when laying in bed or reading, do not use pillows, which elevate the head. Instead we lay flat, which at least puts the head at the equal level of the heart, or, when we can, we somehow slightly tilt our body or the bed at an incline where the heart is higher than the head.

Some of us, while reading, choose to lay flat on our back in bed, with our head just slightly off the edge, with the edge of the bed at the base of our head, which is comfortable enough and allows the head to definitely be lower than the heart for minutes at a time. This works for watching TV as well, if you tilt your head to the side.

It does not have to be a steep incline. This is already enough to Elevate your heart above your pineal gland. Easy does it!

Even if you have the heart one centimeter more elevated than the head, you have already in essence flipped the pineal gland – your “internal clock.”

Most of us do watch a little TV. You can easily incorporate this step a few minutes at a time while watching TV. You will actually be reversing your age with every passing minute.

Dying is the most embarrassing thing that can ever happen to you, because someone’s got to take care of all your details.

I never think that people die. They just go to department stores.

I never understood why when you died, you didn’t just vanish, everything could just keep going on the way it was only you just wouldn’t be there. I always thought I’d like my own tombstone to be blank. No epitaph, and no name. Well, actually, I’d like it to say ‘figment.’

I suppose I have a really loose interpretation of “work,” because I think that just being alive is so much work at something you don’t always want to do. The machinery is always going. Even when you sleep.

This time Jack Sparrow is hell bent on finding the fountain of youth. Perhaps he would do well to stop sailing the ocean and venture onto a river instead, namely, the Amazon

His eyeshadow is mesmerizing.
So is his surfing. Well he certainly mimics it atop a horse drawn carriage gone wild. He rides regular as opposed to goofy, FYI.

The film is aptly directed by Rob Marshall.

Penelope Cruz in he drag will be a big hit with at least 10% of the population. A bird mimicking a Sparrow? That’s high art.

Almost as high and mighty as the imposing Blackbeard. The kiddies will be terrified of him. If not him, surely the intimidating Quartermaster. Both well played.

Beautiful mermaids with Twilight overtones. Spoiler alert.They have the best SFX in this film and if I were in college I could write some paper about how their portrayal is a commentary on feminism and gender empowerment. The paper would get a B+ because I would have been stoned when I wrote it.

Unlike this piece, which you may prefer to be stoned to enjoy. My favorite pirate always is.

You know who has the worst job on this film? The location scouts. Poor ba$tard$ had to spend weeks trying to find unspoiled virgin shooting locales in the most beautiful parts of this planet. What a bummer union gig.

And then there’s The Chalice. Ah the chalice. Star of such films as “Indiana Jones and the Quest for the Holy Grail” and “The Da Vinci Code.” So “Pirates” makes it a Chalice Trifecta. Also well played.

At the end of the day, Jack Sparrow is an artist. An escape artist who appears to relish each opportunity to perfect his chosen alluring artform, which is why no one is in a hurry to escape this franchise. We hear a 5th installment is already in the works…the only worthy reason to trade in the Amazon for the wide open sea.
Books for movies, for better or worse -

if executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer has any say in the matter. Kidding. We don’t really know about his literary proclivities.

But for those of you who intend the REAL fountain of youth, stick to the flowing currents of the Amazon and read
